This was the second time this season Granite has defeated Lindsay.

“I’m so glad we pulled out another win and are able to prove our talent against other teams,” said varsity player Christina Medina, “We deserve that title and will work very hard for it.”

The Grizzlies pulled through for a great win to start off the second round of ESL girls tennis.

“Our team is very strong and our win today proved it,” said varsity player Mayra Puente, “We really need to redeem ourselves after the loss at Strathmore and give it our all.”

Varsity tennis coach, Randy Smee, could not be more proud of his team, who has been able to defeat all but one school in the ESL.

“We can’t expect to have our wins given to us; our girls work hard and it is evident through their determination that they want to sweep the competition,” said Smee.

Each girl has helped aid to Granite’s success and they continue to prove they want a banner for their school.

“Since it is my last year here at Granite, I hope to leave something for my school to be proud of and a banner would be our greatest accomplishment to prove our hard work,” said Puente.
