      Drink plenty of water AND milk. Water helps keep your body healthy and hydrated, while milk has calcium to help build strong bones.

      Listen to your body! Take note when you feel full and do not over eat. Eating too much can make you feel uncomfortable and over a period of time, can lead to unhealthy weight gain.

      Durante los últimos 13 años, Danell Daniel había estado enseñando el departamento de agricultura en Granite Hills High School.

      Daniel siempre ha trabajado con los Futuros Agricultores de América oficiales, llevándolos a diferentes conferencias como el de Excelencia de la Academia de Liderazgo Avanzado, o incluso la conferencia estatal. Ella era una maestra dedicada y tenía mucho amor para el programa de FFA.

      "Mrs. Daniel fue una de las mejores maestras aquí en Granite Hills. Ella hizo divertido estar en FFA y su pasión por el programa era muy fuerte. Yo siempre tenía ganas de ir a su clase ", dijo Sierra López, estudiante en Granite Hills.

      López corrió para los oficiales de 2012-13 FFA porque le gustaba el programa y quería ayudar a hacer el club más fuerte.

      Daniel fue trasladada a Strathmore High School y a Granite Hills se le asignó un nuevo asesor de agricultura. A Audrey Collar se le dio el puesto.

      Collar creció en una pequeña granja en Hanford y estaba en FFA y 4-H cuando era niña. Asistió y se graduó de la Universidad Estatal Politécnica de California, San Luis Obispo. Allí se especializó en ciencias animales y decidió dedicarse a la enseñanza. Su ocupación como asesor de agricultura aquí en Granite Hills es su primer trabajo.

      "Me encanta", dijo Collar, "Los estudiantes son maravillosos, hay un gran personal aquí y las instalaciones son asombrosas,"

      El cambio no siempre es malo. Con un nuevo maestro, miembros de la FFA tienen muchas ganas de ir a conferencias de liderazgo, ir a más reuniones regionales, ayudando con concursos de juzgar y participar en muchas actividades divertidas.

      "Siempre he querido ser parte del panel de jueces. He crecido y mostrando plantas durante los últimos cuatro años y me gustaría ver cómo juzgan por lo que cuando la feria viene por ahí, voy a saber lo que los jueces estarán buscando y me gustaría ser capaz de mejorar mi SAE, ", dijo Madison Rice, estudiante de Granite Hills.

      Rice es la presidenta del FFA este año y está a la espera de un nuevo año.

      "Espero poder ampliar el programa FFA", dijo Collar.

      EN la esperanza de Collar de poder expandir el programa, muchos estudiantes no son conscientes de todo lo que el programa FFA tiene que ofrecer y lo que significa.

      "FFA es sinónimo de Futuros Agricultores de América y es una organización de liderazgo para los estudiantes que están interesados en la agricultura y ofrece maravillosas oportunidades y yo aliento a todos los estudiantes a involucrarse", dijo Collar.
